Job summary

The Vice President Deputy Project Executive at MTA Construction & Development leads capital project delivery for the Second Avenue Subway delivery unit. This role ensures safety, efficiency, cost control, and adherence to contract requirements, policies, and standards.

You will oversee staff, contractors, and agency partners, coordinating across multiple stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes. Responsibilities include risk mitigation, schedule management, budget tracking, and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
• Minimum of sixteen (16) years of related experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years in a management or supervisory role and/or program/project manager role.
• Licenced Professional Engineer or Registered Architect desirable.
• PMP and CCM Certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital project delivery within a business unit to ensure safety, on-schedule, within budget and per contractual requirements.
• Monitor project status, mitigate risk, and coordinate with senior management for issue resolution.
• Lead staff, contractors, consultants, and agency personnel to deliver complex capital projects.
• Coordinate with project team, C&D staff, and operating agency personnel across the project life-cycle.
• Review and approve contract invoices and manage project documentation and reporting.
