Job summary

Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, seeks a Project Cost Manager in Tulsa, OK. You will oversee cost control, develop budgets, forecast expenditures, and provide weekly cost reports to management.

Responsibilities include monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, coordinating with finance and procurement, and mentoring the cost team while ensuring policy compliance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in project cost control, project finance, or project controls.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ERP experience including Glovia is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all project cost control activities.
• Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor expenditures and commitments against approved budgets.
• Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost performance reports for management.
• Oversee invoice verification, cost coding, and budget allocations.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, sales, and finance.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and project control procedures.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and resource forecasting.
• Review change orders and contract variations for cost impact.
• Manage and mentor cost controlling team members.
• Assist with audits and financial closeout processes.
• Improve cost control systems, reporting tools, and operational efficiency.
