Job summary

ICON is seeking a Senior Accountant for Project & Cost Accounting in Austin, TX. This role will own manufacturing cost accounting, WIP, COGS, and project-level P&Ls, while supporting revenue recognition and WIP schedules across ICON’s construction business.

The candidate should have 4+ years of accounting experience with cost/project focus, CPA licensure (or in progress), and strong knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in accounting with exposure to cost or project accounting or construction accounting.
• CPA licensure required or actively pursuing licensure.
• Hands-on experience with percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Construction, manufacturing, or government contracting background is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams during close.

Responsibilities

• Execute ASC 606 revenue recognition across income streams and disclosures.
• Manage project-level P&Ls and monitor cost variances for margins.
• Oversee monthly close for manufacturing and project accounting workstreams.
• Coordinate cost allocation methods with FP&A and operations teams.
• Support audit readiness with schedules, workpapers, and documentation.
