Job summary

HBK Engineering, LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Project Coordinator with foundational experience in utility infrastructure projects. The role focuses on coordinating design and construction activities, applying project management methods, and maintaining clear project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

You will work with a cross-functional team, develop tracking metrics, and support budget and forecast processes to ensure on-time, within-scope project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from ABET/EAC accredited program (case-by-case exception for non-degreed individuals)
• CAPM or PMP licensure recommended
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to track project performance

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member on diverse technical teams involved in engineering design and construction of utility infrastructure
• Solve complicated problems by breaking them down into manageable steps and applying project management methodologies
• Work independently on day-to-day tasks and prioritize efforts based on deadlines and project requirements
• Use software to track project performance in an organized and clear manner for internal and external use
• Develop and maintain tracking metrics related to project design and permitting progress
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external teammates for effective collaboration
• Support identification of project/program budget, forecast, and authorization concerns early and develop resolutions
• Monitor program financial risks and opportunities and provide detailed analysis of variances
• Review external schedules and monitor timelines to meet client deadlines
• Coordinate project activities and communications between team members and stakeholders
• Assist with project documentation and reporting requirements
• Apply utility design and coordination experience to enhance project delivery
• Leverage familiarity with area agencies and governing jurisdictions for project success
