Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to manage bond programs, renovations, and major maintenance facility projects, coordinating with departments, contractors, and the City Council.

This role requires budgeting, contract monitoring, and project leadership, plus experience coordinating open records requests, IT security, and special projects to support the department’s capital improvement goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, public administration, engineering, architecture, or construction management field.
• Five (5) years of budget preparation/monitoring, contract preparation/monitoring, monitoring of performance measures, and/or process improvement.
• Two (2) years of supervisory/project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, coordinates, and reviews the department’s City Council Agenda items.
• Maintains inventory of capital needs and cost estimates for planning.
• Coordinates and monitors Open Records requests and IT Security.
• Manages and coordinates department projects including facility renovations.
• Schedules meetings and provides guidance on agenda, open records, and related ordinances.
• Assists in managing Job Order Contracts for city facilities.
• Leads Project Coordinators to ensure timely project delivery.
• Reviews contractor cost estimates and proposals before orders.
• Maintains inventory for major maintenance and capital needs.
• Supports project management and improves inter-department communication.
