Job summary

KBR in the United States is seeking a Sr. Specialist - Project Controls to join the CIP team within Product Technology Solutions - Defense & Intel.

The role focuses on financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting across multiple contract types, with emphasis on cost control and compliance. Remote work is supported with standard 40-hour weeks; the position offers a base salary of $90,000 to $120,000 per year, plus potential bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Four years of applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of complex program management concepts (budgets, estimates to complete, project schedules).
• Knowledge of financial accounting related to U.S. GAAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and control WBS and lead project setup activities for compliant cost charging.
• Forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and reporting cycles including estimates to complete and trend analysis.
• Calculate, maintain baselines and budgets, monitor funding, schedules and milestones.
• Maximize project cashflow, review invoices and reconcile unbilled balances.
• Oversee subcontractor expenditures, analyze costs and prepare monthly accruals.
• Collaborate with management and customers to prepare presentations and reports.
