Job summary

EDG Inc is seeking a Project Controls Specialist III to lead scheduling and cost control across high-visibility utility projects. You will collaborate with schedulers, cost analysts, and project managers to refine deliverables and ensure timely, accurate reporting.

The role requires Primavera P6 expertise, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff while driving process improvements within the ProjectControls team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Five years of Project Controls experience preferred (5+ years, less than 10).
• Experience utilizing Primavera P6 to build schedules.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders and upper management.
• Basic working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong writing skills and understanding of cost management, estimating and change control.
• Residence within commuting distance to The Woodlands; relocation considerations if farther away.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager to develop project scope of work.
• Study and understand project documents for plans and schedules.
• Prepare plans and schedules with relevant personnel.
• Convert scope into a logically linked, resource-loaded schedule.
• Prepare achievable schedules and integrate engineering, procurement, and construction schedules.
• Monitor progress and prepare progress reports.
• Gather progress and cost information; issue reports to stakeholders.
• Advise management on impacts and contingencies; guide scope to finish.
• Develop/update Cost and Schedule QRAs; participate in risk analysis.
• Support budget forecasting and cost forecasts; manage cost discipline.
