Allied Resources Technical Consultants seeks a Senior Project Controls Specialist to lead scheduling and financial performance for major utility, energy, and industrial projects. The role emphasizes Primavera P6 scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of project controls experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid background in large-scale construction programs.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost controls, or related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Experience supporting utility, energy, oil & gas, industrial, infrastructure, or heavy construction projects.
• Strong background in cost management, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and project controls.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 to support planning and execution.
• Establish baselines, milestones, critical path, and reporting requirements with project teams.
• Perform schedule analysis, identify risks/delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support governance and stage-gate approvals with forecasting analyses.
• Conduct schedule variance analysis and report deviations from baselines.
• Generate schedule performance reports, dashboards, and analytics communicating status and risks.
• Monitor costs, forecasts, budgets, and resource utilization throughout the lifecycle.
• Update financial forecasts for engineering, procurement, construction, and contracted services.
• Review and process invoices, change orders, and expenditures aligning with budgets.
• Support contract administration and ensure costs align with PO/contractual requirements.
• Prepare funding requests, budget adjustments, and forecast updates for management.
• Manage monthly accruals and maintain accurate cost reporting for completed work.
• Assist teams in resolving scheduling, forecasting, and cost-related challenges.
• Support continuous improvement of project controls processes and standards.
