Job summary

You will partner with project teams, manage budgets, track progress, and provide timely reporting while mentoring junior controls staff. Candidates should have a 4-year degree in engineering or related fields and 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in project controls or project management in the commercial construction market.
• Experience using Primavera.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving attitude and high level of coordination skills.
• Knowledge of common project controls terminology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project controls execution plan.
• Implement the Project Management and Controls System and project initiation process.
• Implement the project OBS, WBS, and CBS in financial and progress systems.
• Understand and follow the company's Project Controls procedures.
• Demonstrate understanding of Earned Value Management principles.
• Understand EPC contracting types (LS, Cost Plus, Reimbursable).
• Assist in the Estimate Conforming process.
• Own monthly budget, schedule, change management tracking, and project risk reporting.
• Work with Project Accounting to manage cash flow, revenue recognition, billing.
• Assist change management efforts, including cost estimates for change verification.
• Reporting – provide timely schedule, cost and progress data and analysis.
• Own project schedule updates, maintenance, cost management, and analysis to identify trends.
• Own risk assessment for the project, including risk and opportunity analysis.
• Participate in Closeout Report data collection.
• Interact with Operations and represent the Company to owners and subs.
• Support junior project controls personnel.
