Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Mobile, AL seeks an experienced Senior Project Controls professional to plan, schedule, cost control and estimate heavy industrial projects. The role emphasizes earned value, change management, and proactive client coordination on complex projects.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of relevant experience, advanced construction scheduling skills (Primavera P6, MS Project), and a strong cost-control background in a client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of industrial planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating experience.
• Education aligned to construction science or building science; advanced degree preferred.
• Professional certifications (AACE/PMI) are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and analysis for contract packages to forecast construction activities and identify coordination issues.
• Develop, monitor and update schedules via meetings, field verification, and coordination.
• Demonstrate understanding of Earned Value and Project Productivity.
• Monitor change notices and assist in hearings and change committee meetings.
• Develop estimates for construction projects including change notices.
• Maintain cost systems; reconcile commitments, change orders, invoices, and cost reports.
• Develop, monitor, and update schedules with a progressive system for projects.
• Assist clients and teammates with constructability, logistics, and safety considerations.
• Assist in quantity analysis for durations and estimating purposes.
• Lead Project Controls efforts with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
