Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, TX is seeking a Lead Project Controls Scheduler to develop, maintain, and analyze complex project schedules. You will drive schedule management, critical path analysis, progress tracking, and reporting with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You must have a Bachelor's in Construction Management or related field, 8+ years in project controls scheduling, and expert Primavera P6 skills; PMP/PMI-SP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project controls scheduling, with significant energy, oil & gas, or heavy industrial construction experience.
• Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 (P6 EPPM).
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including critical path, earned value management, and risk analysis.
• Proven ability to develop, analyze, and maintain complex project schedules for large-scale projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
• PMP or PMI-SP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for complex energy infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams to gather information, define scope, and establish activity durations and logic.
• Perform critical path analysis, identify delays, and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain timelines.
• Monitor and track progress against baselines; prepare schedule reports and forecasts.
• Conduct what-if analyses to assess changes or risks on schedules.
• Lead schedule review meetings with stakeholders and communicate status clearly.
• Develop and implement standardized scheduling procedures and best practices.
