Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Project Controls Manager for the Rail and Transit sector in the NY/NE area to oversee project accounting and financial operations reporting. You will collaborate with Sector Managers, Project Managers and subconsultants to coordinate administrative tasks.

You will track A/R and WIP, contribute to forecasting, KPI reviews and invoicing processes, and support project financial tracking with EVM-enabled systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or engineering required.
• Minimum of 10 years of similar or related work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance and/or project accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong ability to interface with clients, peers and management.

Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting and financial operations reporting for NY/NE sector.
• Track A/R and WIP for NY/NE area.
• Prepare input for financial forecasting and planning for NY/NE area.
• Review KPIs for the NY/NE area and support pricing and capture processes.
• Coordinate with finance on month-end close and revenue/financial performance.
• Develop project financial tracking systems using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Assist project managers in project setup and control system management.
• Review and optimize contract staffing, payment terms, invoicing and DSO.
• Prepare and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
