Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join the Project Controls team supporting Power & Energy programs, including transmission and substation capital projects. This position can sit in South Jordan, UT or Las Vegas, NV.

You will oversee finance, schedule, and document controls across assets, lead a multidisciplinary team, develop advanced Power BI dashboards, manage PMIS tools, and provide executive-ready reports and client deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in financial controls, finance/accounting, and scheduling on large-scale capital projects; leadership experience.
• Power & Energy industry experience preferred, especially transmission/substation programs.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of EVM, cost forecasting, and schedule management practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finance, schedule, and document controls across transmission, substation, and related power delivery programs; lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Create and maintain program schedules; review contractor and consultant schedules; identify issues and resolve with Program Manager.
• Develop and implement project controls processes including change management and reporting across enterprise initiatives.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, cash flows, financial models; oversee project accounting and EVM practices.
• Develop advanced Power BI dashboards and analytics tools for leadership and client decision-making.
• Administer Cost Management System (e.g., e-Builder, Procore, or similar PMIS); track acquisition packages and invoices.
• Prepare progress reports for the Program Manager and PMO; produce executive-level memos and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with Finance, Treasury, and Internal Audit; support renewable energy compliance and regulatory filings.
• Supervise and develop project controls staff; improve reporting accuracy and system utilization across Oracle, Primavera P6, Procore.
