Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a senior-level Project Controls Director to lead program management for a major slice of the capital program. You will supervise staff, develop baseline cost estimates and schedules, and ensure integration of scope, schedule, costs, and risk across multiple large projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering/related field and at least five years in project controls, with leadership experience and strong knowledge of public procurement and budgeting practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or closely related field.
• Five years of project controls and reporting experience.
• Three years of leadership, budgeting and workforce management for large projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor design work, procurement, contracts, and construction activities.
• Define scope, budget, and schedule to measure performance.
• Supervise project control services for complex corridor projects.
• Develop goals, policies and priorities for project control.
• Manage staffing plans, assign work, and review outputs.
• Train and evaluate staff, addressing deficiencies.
• Oversee scheduling, cost estimating, budget and change management.
• Prepare annual and lifetime project budgets with justification.
• Develop baseline estimates and ensure integration of scope, schedule, cost and risk.
• Administer change orders and progress payments for contracts.
