Job summary

Sound Transit is hiring for a senior construction management role in Seattle, WA. The position oversees a team delivering a multi-hundred-million-dollar vertical conveyance program, coordinating construction management staff, consultants, and complex contracts across planning, design, and pre-construction phases.

The role requires a civil engineering or related degree and extensive leadership, budget, and scheduling experience in transit/construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Five years of construction management experience including heavy civil, buildings, and underground structures.
• Three years of leadership, budgetary, planning and workforce management experience.
• Valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews work of assigned staff; coordinates schedules and programs.
• Coaches, trains, and motivates staff; manages employee relations and performance.
• Manages work of Project Coordinators, Construction Managers, and Deputy Construction Managers; site visits.
• Provides construction management direction ensuring contract requirements are applied consistently.
• Coordinates CM/DBPM scope, tasks, staffing, and deliverables for assigned projects.
• Manages risk assessments, value engineering, and contracting methodology in planning and pre-construction phases.
