Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the United States. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, analyze monthly data, manage risk reserves, and prepare standardized reports for stakeholders.

The role emphasizes compliance with internal and federal requirements, budgeting and forecasting, and collaboration with project teams and management at multiple levels. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements and/or security clearance eligibility.
• Deep knowledge of project management across budgeting, planning, control and assurance, plus finance and accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts and validates costs.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports for project portfolios and communicates findings to managers.
• Maintains integrated critical path schedules for major projects and portfolio of projects.
• Supports implementation of financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques.
• Mentors junior staff and may supervise engineers on project work.
