Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support U.S. projects, developing complex schedule and cost baselines and integrating risk reserves into forecasts. You will collect, analyze, and report on monthly schedule and cost data while maintaining adherence to safety and government regulations.

The role involves coordinating with project teams, managing high‑complexity plans, and delivering accurate performance reports. Domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required for federal contracts and/or government clearances.
• In-depth knowledge of project management methodology including budgeting, planning, control and assurance.
• Experience in project finance, accounting or business administration.
• Ability to interpret documents, drawings, and specs to manage schedules, resources and costs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts.
• Monitor progress, analyze variances, and prepare reports for management and clients.
• Prepare client/internal status reports on cost status and trends.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and federal regulations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and supervise juniors as needed.
