Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop cost baselines, track progress, and analyze schedule and spend.

The role collaborates with project teams to maintain control of budget, schedule, and risk, delivering reliable forecasts and client‑facing reports. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience, with strong knowledge of EVM, Primavera P6 and EcoSys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with project controls, budgeting, scheduling and forecasting required.
• Travel up to 20–40% may be required depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts and validate costs.
• Prepare earned value management reports and conduct variance analyses.
• Maintain risk reserves and integrate them into forecasts and reports.
• Support implementation of financial controls, systems and forecasting methods.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and mentor less experienced team members.
