Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across multiple locations in the U.S. The role focuses on developing schedule and cost baselines, monitoring variances, and ensuring robust financial controls with earned value management.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Primavera P6, EcoSys, and proactive risk assessment, collaborating with project teams and management while adhering to safety protocols and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; related experience considered in lieu of degree
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in project controls or similar roles
• Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required, depending on projects

Responsibilities

• Develop time-phased, integrated critical path schedules for major projects or programs.
• Generate and analyze earned value reports and discuss observations with the project manager.
• Support project delivery teams by developing baseline budgets and schedules and tracking variances.
• Perform financial analysis and prepare status reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
