Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the United States. The role focuses on developing complex schedule and cost baselines, analyzing monthly data, and maintaining risk reserves within forecasts.

You will prepare client and internal status reports, perform variance analyses, and implement financial controls and forecasting techniques while collaborating with project teams and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of project goals, drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Ability to plan and manage construction projects with schedules, resources and cost baselines.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and EcoSys for performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develops integrated schedule and cost baselines for moderate to high complexity projects.
• Collects and analyzes monthly schedule and cost data, identifies variances and supports root cause analysis.
• Generates earned value reports and conducts portfolio analysis for on-time delivery and profitability.
• Provides guidance and training to junior staff and mentors project team members.
• Ensures compliance with internal procedures and federal/government regulations.
