Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across multiple U.S. locations. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, analyze variances, and assist in root-cause analysis while maintaining risk reserves in forecasts.

Collaboration with management and project teams is essential. You will implement financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques, and communicate findings through standard reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with project controls, scheduling and cost baselines.
• Travel may be required to client sites domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain time-phased project cost and resource forecasts.
• Analyze schedule and cost data; identify variances and perform root-cause analysis.
• Prepare earned value reports and discuss observations with project managers.
• Support implementation of financial controls, systems and forecasting techniques.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise project staff as needed.
