Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across multiple locations in the United States. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly schedule data, identify variances, and assist in root cause analysis.

The role includes risk and forecasting, and reporting to stakeholders. You will collaborate with project teams, manage cost controls, and ensure compliance with internal procedures and federal regulations while mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 5 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with government/federal regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts and update requirements as needed.
• Generate and analyze earned value reports for projects and discuss findings with the project manager.
• Monitor progress of deliverables and actual expenditures vs forecasts.
• Produce client and internal status reports communicating cost status and trends.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff and supervise junior engineers when needed.
