Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti North America (AGANA) is seeking a Senior Superintendent of Project Controls to lead cost engineering, planning, scheduling, and risk analysis for major mining capital programs. You will supervise cross-functional teams and align EPCM/EPC contractor controls with PMO standards.

The role requires 8–12+ years in project controls, PMP/CCP/PSP or related certs, and strong experience with Primavera P6, EVM, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil/Mining/Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Finance, or a closely related discipline required.
• PMP, CCP, PSP, or related AACE PMI certifications preferred.
• Minimum 8 to 12+ years of progressive project controls and cost engineering experience on major capital projects ($100M+).
• Demonstrated experience in open-pit mining, heap leach processing, or heavy industrial infrastructure development.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary project controls teams and managing EPCM/EPC contractor controls deliverables.
• Comprehensive understanding of WBS, CBS, EVM, and PMO governance methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Prism, EcoSys, SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel modeling.
• Strategic problem-solving and analytical capabilities to evaluate critical path deviations and recovery plans.

Responsibilities

• Direct the integrated baseline, schedule management, and master schedule baseline maintenance.
• Establish and maintain CBS/WBS alignment, cost forecasting, and EAC updates.
• Deliver EVM metrics, KPI dashboards, and monthly progress reports to leadership.
• Administer change management, trend governance, and deviation tracking across scope.
• Supervise EPCM/EPC contractors and validate billing and progress curves.
• Oversee CAPEX/OPEX estimating and cash flow planning throughout study to execution.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative risk analyses (QSRA/QCRA/Monte Carlo) for contingencies.
• Mentor project controls team and standardize PMO procedures.
