Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across locations in the U.S. You will develop complex schedule and cost baselines, collect and analyze monthly data, and assist in root‑cause analysis.

You will monitor risk reserves and integrate them into forecasts, communicating through standardized reports to stakeholders. The role requires minimizing risk, maintaining financial controls, and collaborating with project teams while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related experience in project controls or cost/schedule management.
• Experience with government/regulatory project controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts.
• Performs earned value management and variance analysis for projects or programs.
• Prepares client and internal status reports on cost and schedule performance.
• Ensures compliance with internal procedures and government regulations.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to junior staff on project controls practices.
