Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support construction projects across the U.S. This role develops complex schedule and cost baselines, collects monthly data, analyzes variances, and assists in root-cause analysis while maintaining risk reserves.

The successful candidate will collaborate with project teams, communicate through standardized reports, and help implement financial controls and forecasting techniques to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 years of experience.
• Experience with government projects and EVMS is preferred.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts and validates costs.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses findings with project managers.
• Maintains risk reserves in forecasts and communicates cost status to stakeholders.
• Mentors junior staff and supports project controls across projects.
