Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across locations in the U.S. You will develop schedule and cost baselines, collect monthly data, identify variances, and help with root-cause analysis, risk reserves, and forecasts.

You will implement financial controls, collaborate with project teams and management, and coach junior staff while maintaining safety and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years related experience.
• Strong knowledge of project management, budgeting and scheduling.
• Experience with Earned Value Management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop time-phased project cost and resource forecasts and validate costs.
• Monitor progress and perform performance reporting for portfolios.
• Produce financial analyses including variance, risk and profit/loss.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and mentor teammates.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and contract requirements.
