Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Sr Project Controls Professional for an ongoing site-based assignment in Spartanburg, SC, Baton Rouge, LA, or Corpus Christi, TX, with future on-site work across the U.S. You will lead cost control, forecasting, and progress tracking for complex projects, coordinating with construction teams and vendors.

The role requires a strong background in EVMS, contract pay applications, and data integrity, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of experience in project controls focusing on cost management and field operations.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and pay applications.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
• Manage all cost control elements, including Budget development and updates; Scope change tracking; Expenditure and forecast reporting.
• Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
• Analyze revenue and cost performance and recommend corrective actions to project and construction managers.
• Review and approve contractor pay applications, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
• Track and report on construction physical progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data into project systems.
