Job Overview

As an independent individual contributor, this person will build top-down budget estimates, steward cost and schedule through execution, and present monthly performance to management. Success depends on sound technical project controls and the ability to draw clear information from major capital projects, brownfield, and globally distributed teams, including colleagues in Bangalore.

  • Own cost and schedule for the Guyana subsea infill program, working independently from front-end development through execution.
  • Develop Class 4 and Class 3 cost estimates using top-down methods, drawing on contractor quotations, historical cost data, and prior project references.
  • Support the annual budgeting effort by gathering scope from multiple stakeholders and consolidating it into a clear, defensible estimate.
  • Prepare estimate basis and schedule basis memorandums and the supporting documentation behind each estimate.
  • Develop and maintain Level 3 schedules in Primavera P6 and summarize them for management reviews.
  • Prepare cost forecasts, measure progress, and administer the management of change process.
  • Build monthly stewardship presentations that summarize cost, schedule, and project performance for management.
  • Review contractor estimates, proposals, baselines, progress reports, and change orders, and judge where further conditioning is needed.
  • Partner with major capital projects, brownfield projects, and execution teams to gather inputs and create clarity across stakeholders.
  • Support stage gate reviews and funding decisions with cost and schedule estimates and estimate confidence packages.
  • Own schedule quality across the program, including oversight of a dedicated planner if one is added later.
  • Collaborate across time zones with teams in Houston and Bangalore, flexing hours occasionally for critical meetings.
