Job summary

ENGIE North America’s Renewables and Flex Power (RFGBU) seeks a Senior Project Cost Controls Analyst to partner with cross-functional teams to monitor, forecast, and report project financial performance.

In this role you will work with Project Managers, Schedulers, Finance, and Procurement to maintain data integrity, perform EAC/ETC updates, and lead cost control efforts across development, construction, and operational projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Construction Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of project cost controls experience, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with data analysis, pivot tables, charts, lookups, and complex formulas for forecasting, estimating, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Coupa, or similar platforms supporting procurement, accounting, payment processing, and project cost management.
• Knowledge of scheduling principles and tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Smartsheet) is preferred.
• Experience utilizing Power BI to develop or support dashboards and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support cost control activities across development, construction, and operations by managing budgets, LNTPs, SOVs, and PV distribution; maintain alignment with WBS.
• Validate and reconcile project financial data, including actual costs, commitments, accruals, changes, contingency, and forecasted costs for accurate reporting.
• Deliver comprehensive project controls reporting and financial analysis including cost variance reviews, EAC/ETC updates, and budget reconciliations.
• Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis; assess CPI, SPI, milestones, planned value, and schedule impacts on cost and forecast.
• Identify and escalate cost, schedule, forecasting, contingency, and change-control risks; validate forecast assumptions and supporting documentation.
• Support process improvements, data-quality initiatives, and tool training to internal stakeholders.
