Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Manager, Project Controls (Renewables Flex Power) to lead a growing project controls function across the portfolio.

You will manage a team responsible for cost, schedule, risk, forecasting, and performance reporting throughout project lifecycles. You will partner with Project Delivery, Construction, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, and leadership to deliver timely visibility into performance and drive proactive course corrections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Finance, or related field; PMP certification required.
• Minimum seven years of experience in project controls, project delivery, or complex capital projects in energy, infrastructure, or construction environments.
• Proven experience leading and developing project controls teams, including cost controllers and schedulers.
• Hands-on expertise in integrated project controls, including cost, schedule, forecasting (EAC/ETC), risk, and change management.
• Experience supporting projects in EPC or multi-contractor environments, with exposure to full project lifecycle delivery.
• Proficiency with project controls systems such as Primavera P6, SAP (or ERP), Procore, Power BI, and Excel (Oracle Primavera Cloud is a plus).
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights, influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Controllers and Schedulers.
• Oversee end-to-end project controls execution with focus on credible forecasting and risk-informed decisions.
• Review and validate baselines, forecasts, and critical path impacts for data integrity.
• Partner with project managers to identify risks and provide early-warning insights.
• Establish and standardize project controls governance and KPIs across the portfolio.
• Drive process transformation and system integration to improve reporting and maturity.
• Lead change across a matrixed organization through development, execution and closeout.
