Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to lead cost control, budgeting/estimating, forecasting, change management, and purchase-to-pay across a portfolio of industrial capital projects. The role enforces standardization in project controls and acts as the analytical engine driving data-informed decisions for project managers and leadership.

The Project Controls Engineer has end-to-end accountability for the integrity of Project Controls processes from development through close-out,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• 8-12+ years of total experience in project controls.
• Prior experience within industrial gas, chemical processing, oil & gas, process industries, EPC execution, or heavy industrial capital builds.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost control, budgeting/estimating, forecasting, and change management across a portfolio of projects.
• Manage and report portfolio KPIs, variance analysis, cost and schedule forecasts, and progress.
• Lead the formal Change Management process to evaluate scope, schedule, and cost impacts.
