Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Salt Lake City seeks a Senior Project Controls Cost Analyst to manage cost management activities on large capital programs, collaborating with senior project managers, clients, and stakeholders to develop and report cost plans from early design through closeout.

The role focuses on building integrated cost plans, risk assessments, earned value, and detailed forecasting, with strong emphasis on communication, data analysis, and process improvement across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• 8+ years of related experience in cost management on capital projects including design and construction phases.
• Direct experience working on teams within a complex, matrixed environment.
• Expertise using Excel.
• Experience within the construction industry required; life sciences experience preferred.
• Must possess exemplary communication skills – both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Establish the cost management program and deliverables for large scale capital programs (tools, technology, processes).
• Integrate all third plans and cost components into integrated cost plan.
• Lead analysis on cost risk, issues, and mitigations for project managers and clients.
• Drive accruals and forecast process with monthly/biweekly/weekly updates as required.
• Support risk management processes and quantitative risk assessments when required.
• Develop and lead earned value component of complex programs.
• Support development of project control and execution plans.
• Review/approve invoices from subcontractors and third parties.
• Assist with development of RFPs, RFQs and project-related contracts.
