Primoris Energy Services in Amarillo, Texas is seeking a Lead Project Controls Cost Analyst to drive cost control and forecasting for complex energy projects. You will build and maintain cost systems, develop budgets and work with project teams to ensure financial alignment and reporting accuracy.

The role requires 8–10 years in project controls, deep knowledge of GAAP, and proficiency in Primavera P6, EcoSys, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in project controls with a strong focus on cost analysis and forecasting in energy/oil & gas or heavy industrial construction.
• Proven experience leading cost control on multi-million dollar projects.
• Advanced proficiency in project controls software such as Primavera P6, EcoSys, or similar systems.
• Strong GAAP and cost accounting understanding; excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems for large energy projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts with variance analysis.
• Conduct root-cause cost variance analysis and mitigation planning.
• Generate cost reports, progress reports, and financial summaries for leaders.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, procurement, and accounting on cost objectives.
• Lead and mentor junior cost analysts in cost control methodologies.
• Develop WBS and CBS structures for projects.
• Review invoices, change orders, and subcontracts for cost accuracy.
• Utilize Primavera P6, EcoSys, SAP to manage cost data and reports.
• Participate in project reviews and risk assessment with financial insights.
