Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Cost Engineer to develop and maintain cost control systems, analyze project costs, and provide accurate forecasts for Hubbard, Texas-based projects. You will work with project managers, procurement, and field teams to track costs, manage change orders, and support budgeting and earned value with ERP-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance or related field.
• 3+ years of cost engineering, cost control or project controls in energy/oil & gas or heavy industrial construction.
• Experience with cost control software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, EcoSys).
• Strong analytical and Excel/MS Office skills.
• PMP or AACE CCP/CCC certifications are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems for energy service projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for all project phases.
• Monitor expenditures against budget and provide variance analyses.
• Track change orders and assess cost impacts.
• Collaborate with PMs, procurement, and stakeholders for cost data.
• Maintain progress measurement systems for earned value and forecast costs.
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow projections, and financial analyses.
• Identify cost risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
• Review contractor invoices and progress payments for accuracy.
• Assist in development of project schedules and resource-loaded schedules.
