Job summary

FlexForce is seeking an experienced Project Controller to oversee the financial functions for profitable completion of assigned divisions and projects in the Financial District, Lower Manhattan. You will manage AP/AR, reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and process improvements, collaborating closely with project teams and executives.

The role requires 5+ years in construction accounting, leadership experience, and CMiC proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of construction accounting experience.
• 5-10 years of leadership experience.
• Experience supervising a team of 7-8 employees.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience with financial reporting.
• Proficiency with CMiC, Textura, and Procore is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project AP, AR, financial tracking, and reporting.
• Partner with Project Executives/Managers to track change orders and subcontractor back charges.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, including revenue recognition and payables.
• Prepare monthly owner draw requests/bills and monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Review monthly financial data for completeness and accuracy.
• Manage project document repositories and internal controls with the Financial Controller.
• Monitor project overhead costs and profitability forecasts.
• Coordinate travel to project sites as required.
