Americaribe LLC is seeking a Senior Project Buyer to orchestrate procurement for USVI construction initiatives, from planning through close-out. You will manage supplier sourcing, bidding, and negotiations to secure best value while ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulations.

Based in St. Thomas, USVI, you will collaborate with PM, preconstruction, and finance teams, maintaining audit-ready files and driving cost savings and risk mitigation across multiple packages.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience in heavy construction or complex project environments.
• Proven ability to independently manage major procurement packages and lead commercial negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of construction trades, materials, equipment, services, drawings, specs, and BOQs.
• Experience with competitive bidding, bid leveling, award recommendations, and audit-ready documentation.
• Familiarity with federally funded project procurement requirements is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead assigned procurement packages from planning through RFP/RFQ, bid evaluation, negotiation, award and close-out.
• Develop procurement strategies and schedules aligned with budget, design, schedule, and logistics.
• Prepare solicitation documents, coordinate bidder outreach, and obtain complete proposals.
• Produce bid evaluations and award recommendations considering price, scope, schedule, and risk.
• Lead negotiations and review of terms, insurance, bonding and contractual requirements with internal teams.
• Prepare purchase orders and manage subsequent commercial changes.
• Monitor submittals, fabrication, shipment, delivery, and supplier performance; coordinate expediting efforts.
• Maintain audit-ready procurement files and supplier records.
