Job summary

Americaribe is recruiting a Human Resources Officer to support the USVI project during construction, serving as the on-site HR representative. You will oversee recruitment, relocation, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance, aligning with HQ policies while adapting processes to the local market.

This role is based in St. Thomas, USVI, with a projected start in October 2026, reporting to the JV HR leadership and coordinating with local authorities and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of USVI or Puerto Rico labor market and employment practices.
• Proven experience in high-volume recruitment and employee relations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment strategy and oversight for local and Puerto Rico markets, liaising with agencies and networks.
• Manage employee relations, conflicts, disciplinary actions, and retention initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies; liaise with authorities and stakeholders.
