Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Licensed Project Architect to join our Raleigh/Charlotte office in North Carolina. This role leads projects from programming through construction administration, coordinating with consultants and guiding teams to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.

The ideal candidate has 11–20 years of professional experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, and an active architecture license.

Qualifications

• Active architecture license required.
• 11–20 years of professional architectural experience, with project leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school.
• Experience managing full delivery from design to construction administration.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, accessibility, and regulations.
• Proficient in coordinating consultants and leading internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through all phases of delivery, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
• Collaborate with design leadership to translate client goals into thoughtful, functional, and technically sound architectural solutions.
• Manage day-to-day project execution, establish priorities, assign responsibilities, and guide team members toward project milestones.
• Serve as a primary client contact, communicate progress, clarify requirements, and address questions or changes throughout the project.
• Coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, and other consultants to develop integrated project documentation.
• Evaluate applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, zoning regulations, and life safety considerations, incorporating requirements into the design and documentation.
• Oversee the production of accurate, coordinated drawings and specifications that clearly communicate design intent and construction requirements.
• Perform quality control reviews to identify conflicts, resolve technical issues, and maintain consistency across project documents.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor deliverables, and communicate potential delays or coordination needs.
• Support construction administration through submittal and shop drawing reviews, responses to requests for information, site observations, and resolution of field questions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to architectural staff while maintaining accountability for the quality and completeness of project work.
