Job summary

MOCA Systems, Inc. in Southern California seeks a Senior Project Architect to lead large, complex construction projects as Owner’s Representative. You’ll guide design development, documentation, and staff oversight in close collaboration with the Design Principal and Project Manager.

You will drive technical excellence, coordinate consultants, and maintain client relationships while delivering projects on time and within budget, with regional travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• NAAB accredited Bachelor’s degree in architecture.
• Must be a Registered Architect, licensed in State of practice.
• LEED AP or DBIA desirable.
• Significant experience in all phases of work required.
• Ability: organizational/project management, problem-solving, team development, vision execution, deadline-driven, client-focused, staff management, leadership communication, MS Office and design software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project development and team across all work phases to achieve design and technical success.
• Foster a collaborative environment and maintain strong client, consultant, architect, and contractor relationships.
• Input on design direction and development of project definition and design projects.
• Establish and maintain quality standards for documentation and deliverables; support internal quality systems.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of building materials, systems, specs, codes, and construction techniques.
• Coordinate consultants to ensure deliverables are integrated and align with goals.
• Develop project presentations and materials to convey solutions.
• Lead design software standards and streamline workflows across projects.
• Mentor staff and promote technical knowledge growth.
