Job summary

Cuhaci Peterson Architects, Engineers & Planners, Inc. is seeking an experienced Architect to lead complex projects from Design through Construction Administration.

The role involves design development, permitting, bidding, and construction administration, with strong coordination across disciplines. The Architect will supervise and train team members, uphold technical quality, manage budgets and schedules, and promote sustainable design.

Qualifications

• Active architectural license required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in a professional office.
• Thorough understanding of building construction methods and codes.
• Final responsibility for technical quality and project success.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and direct coordination with engineering disciplines.
• Cost estimating.
• Perform in-depth architectural and engineering coordination QC checks.
• Assist Architect I with their responsibilities.
• Advanced research, planning, design, CDs, and administration/inspections.
• Promote sustainable design.
• Engage in marketing involvement.
• Mentor and lead junior staff.
• Prepare design drawings, CDs, and specs.
• Manage permitting process and respond to comments.
• Oversee production of CDs for multiple projects.
• Resolves design issues and technical questions.
• Assist in bid process and CA services.
• Assist in proposal preparation.
