Job summary

McMillan Pazdan Smith seeks a Project Architect to join the W. Columbia team. Lead project teams on architectural projects, supervise contract documents, and ensure conformance with codes and construction techniques.

You will engage in client communications and coordinate with multi-discipline teams on complex features. Ideal candidates bring 8–12 years of experience, registration as a licensed architect, and strong skills in Revit, Enscape, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent requirement.
• Licensed architect in good standing.
• 8–12 years of architectural experience with leadership of project teams.
• Ability to monitor budgets and translate needs into hours/costs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with BIM and design/document software.

Responsibilities

• Provide limited, high-level supervision for complex features across projects.
• Assist Project Manager with multiple project management tasks.
• Supervise preparation and checking of contract documents.
• Incorporate codes, construction techniques, and cross-discipline coordination.
• Conduct site observations and report construction progress.
• Maintain project cost control and communicate with clients and contractors.
