Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent.
• Registered as a licensed architect.
• 8-12 years of experience as an architect.
• Experience leading a project team.
• Knowledge of estimating project needs and translating them into budget hours/costs.
• Ability to monitor the budget of a task and adjust to keep on budget.
• Leadership to a team performing sequential tasks.
• Ability to motivate the team to meet milestones.

Responsibilities

• Provide limited, high level production supervision for complex projects.
• Assist Project Manager with managing multiple projects.
• Supervise preparation and accuracy of contract documents.
• Incorporate codes, construction techniques, and sequences across projects.
• Supervise site observations and report conditions and progress.
• Handle questions during construction and maintain cost control.
• Communicate with clients, officials, and contractors.
• Write feasibility studies, condition reports, and recommendations.
• Supervise building code reviews and permit applications.
• Make major design decisions regarding space, aesthetics, and detailing.
• Documentation through correspondence and memos; client and official contacts.
• Exercise professional judgment on contractual liability.
• Deliver public presentations.
