Donato LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Architect for our Coral Gables studio in Miami, FL. This onsite role with a semi-hybrid schedule requires a registered architect, 15+ years of experience, and strong leadership to oversee projects from conception through construction.

This is an onsite role in Miami, FL, with a semi-hybrid remote schedule.
The practice has won over 80 international awards and major design competitions. The diverse and creative team with 380 architects and designers from 35 nationalities has designed and delivered work in 60 cities across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Americas. The studio works at diverse scales, from the design of individual buildings to the planning of cities. The practice focuses on bringing innovative design solutions for multicultural projects, with economic and social integrity. Its works include transport-oriented developments as well as mixed-use, retail, hospitality, residential, research and science, and civic and cultural projects.
We are currently seeking a Senior Architect to join our Coral Gables studio.
Lead Architectural Projects: Manage the full architectural process from schematic design to construction administration on a variety of project types, ensuring every detail aligns with design intent and project goals.
Construction Administration: Act as the primary liaison during construction, conducting site visits, leading owner/contractor meetings, and resolving on site challenges with confidence and expertise.
Mentorship and Leadership: Oversee and mentor junior staff, fostering their growth while ensuring high-quality design and technical standards are met across all project phases.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Present design concepts and project updates to clients, general contractors, and review boards, ensuring transparency and collaborative problem-solving.
Legal and Code Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant building codes, fire regulations, zoning laws, and accessibility requirements, maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants, coordinating project deliverables to maintain design integrity and technical accuracy.
Architectural Expertise: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture with 15+ years of professional experience.
Licensing: Registered Architect or eligibility to complete the ARE. LEED accreditation is a plus.
Software Proficiency: Strong command of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software (Dynamo, Grasshopper). 3D modeling expertise is essential.
Construction Administration Experience: Proven track record of managing construction processes on large-scale projects, from design detailing to on site coordination.
Technical Excellence: Ability to resolve complex design and construction issues, while maintaining the integrity of the project’s vision.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams, mentor junior architects, and communicate effectively across all levels.
