Job description

Construction Administration Manager

Miami, Florida | Hybrid after 90 Days

Join a premier design studio shaping exceptional modern homes.

A nationally recognized Design Studio is seeking an experienced Construction Administration Manager to lead the construction phase of some of South Florida’s most distinctive luxury residential projects. This is an opportunity for an architect or construction administration professional who enjoys being in the field, solving complex challenges, collaborating with talented design teams, and ensuring exceptional design is executed exactly as intended.

If you’re passionate about architecture, thrive in a collaborative environment, and enjoy building strong relationships with clients and contractors, this could be the next step in your career.

About the Design Studio

This award‑winning architecture and interior design studio is recognized for creating contemporary spaces rooted in environmental modernism. The firm’s work is highly collaborative, design‑driven, and people‑focused.

With approximately 45 team members, the studio has built a reputation not only for exceptional design but also for its outstanding culture. Employees enjoy genuine work‑life balance, strong mentorship, high retention, and an environment where collaboration takes precedence over hierarchy.

The team regularly comes together for project showcases, office socials, lunch‑and‑learns, and community service initiatives. Dogs and children are welcome in the office, creating a relaxed, authentic workplace where people genuinely enjoy working together.

The Opportunity

As the Construction Administration Manager, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact among the design teams, clients, consultants, and contractors throughout construction.

Rather than managing a single project, you’ll oversee construction administration across multiple luxury residential projects, ensuring architectural intent is maintained while delivering an exceptional client experience from groundbreaking through project completion.

You’ll join projects during the Construction Documents phase, provide valuable QA/QC feedback before bidding, and then lead construction administration through closeout.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead construction administration for multiple high‑end residential projects
  • Coordinate and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and construction documentation
  • Conduct site observations and prepare detailed field reports
  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout construction
  • Partner with contractors to resolve field issues while protecting design intent
  • Lead owner‑architect‑contractor (OAC) meetings
  • Coordinate punch lists, project closeout, and as‑built documentation
  • Collaborate with Project Architects across the firm to resolve design questions quickly
  • Identify project risks early and recommend practical solutions
  • Help improve construction administration processes and mentor junior staff
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (Architecture preferred)
  • 5+ years of architectural construction administration experience
  • Extensive experience with large custom luxury residential projects
  • Strong understanding of Florida construction practices and building processes
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction documentation
  • Ability to confidently communicate with owners, contractors, consultants, and design teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Procore, Newforma, or Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus
  • Architectural registration is preferred but not required
Who Will Thrive Here

You’ll be successful in this role if you:

  • Take ownership and follow projects through to completion
  • Build positive relationships with clients and contractors
  • Communicate clearly and professionally under pressure
  • Enjoy collaborating rather than working in silos
  • Are humble, authentic, and committed to continuous improvement
  • Care deeply about design quality and client service

The studio values professionals who are invested in the team’s success, support their colleagues, and take pride in delivering exceptional work.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $125,000-$150,000 salary
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with Safe Harbor contribution, employer match eligibility, and profit sharing
  • Annual bonus opportunities
  • Paid professional membership
  • Paid time off plus seven holidays
  • Office closure between Christmas and New Year’s
  • Floating holiday and birthday holiday
  • Paid parental leave
  • Hybrid schedule after a 90‑day onboarding period (three days in the office each week)
  • Collaborative, design‑focused studio with outstanding mentorship and professional growth opportunities
