Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced project accountant to provide comprehensive financial support to project managers and teams. You will manage project costs and revenue, maintain budgets, review invoicing, and ensure data accuracy across medium-sized projects using Oracle and MS Excel.

You will partner with project managers to establish budgets, monitor variances, and generate detailed financial reports for management and clients. Occasional travel may be required to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of post-education accounting experience in project contracts and change management.
• Experience applying project accounting principles to project work-related issues.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel including pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze collection, recording, and allocation of project costs and revenue to ensure accurate P&L.
• Track projects from creation through close, including budgets, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Review contract and change order characteristics and ensure compliance with terms.
• Prepare and present project financial reports highlighting variances and risk areas.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and team to update budgets and provide financial recommendations.
