Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Accountant III to act as a subject matter expert for Project Accounting. The role combines advanced accounting, audits support, and driving process improvements across the department.

Based in San Diego, CA or remote in the Pacific time zone, you will oversee revenue, costs, WIP, billings, and financial reporting for construction projects; partner with PMs, Operations, AP, AR, and Tax; and lead complex month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• 2+ years Big Four or Top 10 audit firm or equivalent SOX/technical accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with construction accounting and WIP calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and financial oversight for assigned construction projects, including revenue, costs, WIP, and billing.
• Serve as primary accounting resource for PMs on complex project accounting and compliance.
• Analyze project results, identify risks, and drive issue resolution.
• Complete month-, quarter-, and year-end closes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with AR/AP, Tax, Procurement, and project teams to resolve billing and compliance issues.
• Drive process improvements across Project Accounting.
