Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• 2+ years of Big Four or Top 10 audit firm experience or equivalent in public-company audits, SOX, or technical accounting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP and CMiC; advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting oversight for assigned construction projects including revenue, costs, WIP, and billing.
• Serve as primary accounting resource for PMs on complex project accounting and compliance.
• Analyze project results, identify risks, and escalate complex issues for resolution.
• Review contracts, change orders, transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Execute complex month-/quarter-/year-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support tax accruals and ensure project data is accurately reflected in reporting systems.
• Lead process improvements, standardization, automation, and control enhancements across Project Accounting.
• Mentor and train other project accountants; provide feedback on complex work.
• Coordinate audit support and respond to inquiries from auditors and internal stakeholders.
