Job summary

KPFF Inc. in Seattle seeks a Senior Project Accountant to support a 150+ engineering team, manage project costs, and deliver financial insights.

You’ll collaborate with Project Managers and Principals, drive accurate invoicing, and improve accounting processes while growing into a leadership role. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of cost accounting experience, a BA in accounting/finance/economics (AA acceptable), and strong Excel/Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a professional office setting.
• BA preferred in accounting/finance/economics; AA acceptable as minimum.
• Proficient with MS Office; advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain all projects/expenses in BST11, updating budgets and tasks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers for setup, budget tracking, and client billings.
• Prepare monthly client billings and oversee invoicing by others.
• Improve and document monthly accounting workflows; address end-of-month/year reports.
• Provide project financial information and meet deadlines with corporate accounting.
