Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers’ Seattle office is seeking a seasoned Project Accountant to support civil/structural and transportation groups. You will handle invoices, contracts, billing and financial reports, coordinating with clients and subconsultants to keep projects on track.

Responsibilities include managing fee estimates, budgets, and project documentation, while supporting project managers and principals in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years invoicing and project contract administration.
• Knowledge of AP/AR, billing inquiries, and general accounting practices.
• Proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel, MS Projects, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• 4 years + experience in contract management with public or private agencies.
• 4–5 years combined experience in budget management and tracking.
• Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a team setting.
• Organized, detail oriented, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review project invoices and progress reports.
• Process contracts and change orders/amendments/supplements.
• Set up and manage spreadsheets for fee estimates, cost tracking, and billing.
• Review subconsultant invoices.
• Coordinate project deliverables with project team and clients.
• Provide general support to project managers and principals.
