Job summary

The Intersect Group is partnering with a growing project-based manufacturer to hire a Senior Project Accountant in Irving, TX. This hybrid role owns project financials, from revenue recognition to month-end close, partnering with operations for financial performance.

Requirements include 3–5 years in project accounting, a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, and strong Excel, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting in a project-driven environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Hands-on full-cycle accounting experience.
• Experience with project costing, budgeting, forecasting.
• Manufacturing or construction experience preferred.
• Strong Excel, analytical, and communication skills.
• Adaptable and able to manage shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage percentage-of-completion accounting and project revenue recognition.
• Own full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, month-end close).
• Prepare project financials, budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses.
• Monitor project profitability, cost variances, financial risks.
• Partner with project managers and operations on financial performance.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, analyses.
